Product description

Castrol Cyltech 100 is a premium marine diesel engine cylinder lubricant specifically developed to provide protection against corrosive wear.

With a base number (BN) of 100 the product provides a higher level of engine protection than cylinder oils with a lower BN (e.g. 70 BN products). The high BN is achieved by a careful balance of detergents that optimise cleanliness performance.

Applications

  • Suitable for cylinder lubrication of the latest super long stroke crosshead engines burning residual fuels

  • Particular suitable whilst slow steaming and using medium and high sulphur fuels

  • Depending on the engine condition, it may be suitable for use with ECA compliant fuel with 0.1% sulphur for short periods - consult engine makers for specific advice
